I have a home network, 1 desktop & 1 laptop. Both XP
Home. I have 3 printers connected to the desktop: Minolta
2350EN (color postscript, USB); Epson CX5200 (inkjet,
USB); Xerox P8 (laser, parallel). All print fine from
the desktop.

When I go to "Add Printer" on the laptop and choose any
of these printers from the wireless network, the install
proceeds normally, and I get an icon in the Printers
folder for each. However, when I right-click and select
Properties on any of them, I get the following error:
----------------
Function address 0x500055ee caused a protection fault.
(exception code 0xc0000005) Some or all property page(s)
may not be displayed.
----------------
And nothing happens.

When I try to print from any program to any network
printers, I get the error that "[Program name] has
encountered a problem and needs to close," and the
programs shuts down.

Everything prints fine on the desktop; what can I do
differently on the laptop to get these to work? Thanks
in advance for ANY suggestions, I'm going nuts!

I have the exact same problem but only with one of my computers. All the
others can connect to the printer without problems. Did you ever solve this
problem? BTW, I upgraded to SP2 and the problems stayed the same (address
changed).
