Can't add contact

A user has her manager's email set up in her Outlook.
Previously she's been able to add a contact to his
Contacts list but now she is unable to. She adds the
contact, clicks save but it's not on the list of
contacts. Thanks, Katherine
 
Look over her shoulder and see if the contact is being set to Private.
