can't access windows update

Following a recent windows update, I can no longer
access v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp.
Looking through these posts I decided to uninstall
sp4. I still get the "page cannot be displayed" message.

Just try http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/

This address that I gave you will point to the above address you stated.
You have to enter it actually as I have written it down or it will not work.

Hope that works for you.

Thanks for the help...but...got the same error message but
did notice that the line at the bottom of the IE screen had
"defaulted" to the address I had been trying.
Any other thoughts?

I tried looking on the Microsoft website to see if they had published
anything about this issue and I wasn't really able to find anything
dealing with your problem. The next step I would take would be to
contact MS Tech support. I would use the online help because I've never
been able to wait long enough to get through to them on the phone.

Here is the link to Windows 2000 Tech Support page:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/support/contact/default.asp

I would also check to make sure you don't still have Blaster hidden
somewhere on your computer if you haven't already.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help,

eve
