Can't access View/Source...

Patti

Nothing happens when I click on View/Source in order to
view the HTML for web pages. I'm currently studying HTML
so it would be really useful to be able to do this. I
have done it before on this computer but I recently
downloaded SP2 - could it be anything to do with that?
Any help gratefully received. Thanks.

Hi Patti :)

Try the following and see if it helps:

Can't View 'Source ' - Courtesy of Don Varnau:

First, clear the IE cache. IE> Tools> Internet Options> General> Delete
files (and delete offline content.) It's often recommended that the TIF
folder be kept at about 50 MB (Settings.)

If you have a shortcut to Notepad.exe on the desktop, rename it.

Some people have reported that Quick View Plus can cause this

Restore Source View

Backup your registry before modifying

Search the registry (Start>run..type in "regedit" without the quotes>
press OK, The search for the DWORD "noviewsource".(without the quotes)

If that exists, delete it or set it to 0.

If these steps do not resolve your problem, please post back to this thread
with the details and any error messages.

Hope this helps
