hi
i've scoured everywhere for answer to this one but no luck so far :
I have a DSL connection and high speed mode
Suddenly I can't send emails using my ISPs smtp server. (Using Outlook, or Outlook Express or anything else)
The ISP insists that there is no problem at their end. I'm inclined to believe them because I can certainly send emails if i revert to a dialup connection.
I can ping the smtp server no proble
But at the command prompt: telnet smtp.address 25 produces 'no connection error'
Outlook returns a reported error of x800CCCC0F
I've tried the following :
Uninstalling the Firewall (Zone Alarm) completel
Uninstalling Anti-Virus (Norton) completel
Uninstalling Spam Filter (IHateSpam) completel
Re-installing Windows XP (Plus all service packs and updates)
Using the netsh command to restore the tcp/ip protocols to original state
and of course resetting the modem, unplugging and all that
All my email account settings are totally correct.
Anyone have any clues ? This problem suddenly happened.
thanks for any hel
