cant access display properties

hi,
i recently deleted some links on my computer an know
cant access some control panel options like Display. The
error i'm getting is run32dll.exe "windows cannot access
the specified device path or file. You may not have
appropriate remissions to access the item." I presume i'm
getting this because i deleted the links. I have
sufficient privilages as i used the administor account,
also i held dowm the shift key while deleting them (d'oh)
so they're gone. Any suggestions

Try running this at a command prompt:

SFC /scannow
