Can't accept appointments in Outlook 2003

We have a user running Windows XP and Outlook 2003. We have an
exchange server that everybody's outlook connects to. This one user
can't accept appointments sent to him by people in our organization.
When he clicks accept he gets an error message that says "The Calendar
folder could not be found. Item could not be found." Any ideas on
what might cause this.
