I have recently installed a second hard-drive and subsequently reinstalled
Xp. The only hardware that I can not get up an running is the scanner due to
Twain drivers. I have followed the instructions on both the Microsoft and
Canon site about uninstalling the hardware, remove the drivers, installing
the new drivers and then reinstalling the ScanGear software. The Twain
drivers are still not being recognised. I have also disable AntiSpy and
still the Twain drivers are unavailable. Has anyone successfully solved this
problem? Any suggestions would be greatly welcomed and no, purchasing a new
scanner at the moment is not an option.

Have you disconnected the scanner before the driver installation?
If everything fails then you have to take it to the vendor/dealer from
which you have bought.
