Canon scanner tiff file issues

HI guys

I am scanning images on a Canon D646u Flat bed. Whilst
the images are saving the are only saving as a tiff file
and will not open under the preview pane or for that
matter the Windows Picture and fax viewer. I cant run
slide shows either etc etc.

The big bummer is I have just finished scanning 840 shots
and the bloody thing want go onto a slide show...

If any one can help me change or adjust the settings I
would be gratefull.

When you scan...can't you do a "Save As"
and choose the format?

You can do a batch format conversion
with IrfanView.
