Hi, I'm really interested in getting the Canon Pixma Pro9000 and was curious
about the numbers of prints.

Would anybody who owns or works with one be willing to share this info?

I'm wondering how many 13 x 19 color (average quality setting) prints one
might expect from this printer?
Heck, I'll take any sort of info regarding any size paper for print output
that folks are willing to share.
Thanks in advance.

I you print photos with this fine printer using OEM Canon ink you should
use a highest quality setting to get the most out of this printer. If
you can get information on the IP4500 for 8.5x11 then you can
mathematically figure it out. Figure out the square inches of coverages.

I've been using one for about a year.

I'm not sure what you mean by number of prints - do you mean from a set of
ink cartridges? Or from the entire life of the printer? I can't answer the
latter, and the former varies depending on coverage. I've printed a few
thousand large size (13x19 and 14x24) with it. The Photo Cyan and Photo
Magenta go fastest with my type of pictures. Red and Green last forever.
Matter of fact, I just replaced them for the first time about 4 weeks ago.

About two weeks ago I changed over to a continuous flow ink supply system
with extrnal tanks and hoses. It seems to work pretty well as far as image
quality goes, but I haven't been using it long enough yet to know about
service issues (if any).

Hello and thanks for your reply. Actually I was referring to (I guess,
square feet?) prints for each ink replacement. But like you say, some of the
inks might/could run out faster than others.

Thus far since purchasing my printer I've only done 4 (13x19) and a few
regular sized pages. It's taken me so long doing so because I'd broken my
wrist shortly after my purchase. ACK! :)
