Canon Pixma MP750 - Error Code ##357

I

Hello,

Does anybody know what the error code ##357 mean for a Canon Pixma MP750
? And how to fix it eventually.

I tried to google it but couldn't find anything, neither does the
manual. Canon themself tell me to send it for repair, but if I can do it
myself, it would save me weeks without a printer/scanner. I even rather
buy a new one immediatly then sending it out for warranty repair.

NEW ##357 TX/RX ASF paper feed (AP) position error

No idea what that means but I found this as well...

##357 ASF paper feed (AP) position error
Cause: An error occurs at the AP positioning in the ASF (Auto Sheet
Feeder) unit.
Solution: (1) To reboot, press [OK] button or turn off and then on the
power.
(2) Replace the SHEET FEED ASS’Y.
(3) Replace the SPCNT board.

It sounds like you've hit a problem with one of the sheet feeders... it
could be a blockage, a sensor issue or something else but at least you
can look at the paper input to see if there's anything around there..

Sounded too good to be true....
Thanx for the reply. But so far didn't help anything. I only use the
bottom sheet feeder and the tray is as clean as can be and doesn't show
any problem, neither does the top nor the back feeder....
My the search is going on; so if someone has another idea, please let me
know.

Where do you have the feed switch placed on the control panel?
If it is for the tray and not cassette could be a problem. Also if papers
are mis-matched ( glossy for one and plain paper for the other) either feed
you will have a problem.
Do you have the auto sensor switch engaged?
To activate you press the menu button 4 times to printer settings and use
the right arrow button to navigate to auto feed.Click OK and choose on.
Hope this helps

Solution
(1) didn't work.
(2) Being Dutch I am not sure what a "SHEET FEED ASS’Y" but I assume
it's the paper-tray ?
(3) What's a SPCNT board....

I already played the menu settings that much that I already lost the
Dutch Language option. (Now I only get English, French, Spanish,
Portugues ;-)) So I assume I really reset the complete system and
emptied the EEPROM memory (where probably additional language settings
are stored ;-))
