Canon I860 printer

Hey all,

I just got my Canon I860 printer. I love it so far. The software that came
with it are great. Thanks to the group of people who recommended this
printer. I do have a question though. Is there anything I should know or
anything that you've encountered that this newbie should know about? I
bought +108 24lbs bright white inkjet paper. Is that a good quality to use
for basic photos downloaded from newsgroups and text? Thanks again everyone
who helped me.

Lordmajax,
If your digital Camera is Exif 2.2 compatible, using the Easy Photo Print
software that came with the printer, you will be amazed at the quality that
comes from the printer. The I860 is Exif compatible. It looks at the photo
and determines, from the information from the camera, what the photo should
look like and prints that photo. In other words, if the original photo is,
say under exposed, the printer will compensate for the under exposure and
print a GREAT photo.
Good luck.

Yes I shall Buy the Canon Paper, This printer is for the price incredible I
downloaded the easy- photoPrint And I must say the results are superb.
That was on the Canon Photo Paper Pro! I shall go out today and get some
more Paper, the results are better than my SLR and getting the films
processed and printed at the local lab.

Hi Lord,
Say, I have a limited vertical clearance area that now
holds an older HP..
Can you advise as to the "vertical" size of the i860 WITH
the standard Paper feed (not the little center one) extended..?

And can you comment on HOW MUCH further the actual PAPER extends?

Thanks very much. Need to know before I buy or it may not fit.

Divided by 25.4 gives us 12.99 in. - hmm, I have 11.5 space.
Dang... have to see. Thanks.
