Canon i850 duplex printing

Running with Win XP Home on P IV and Canon i850. Since installing current
driver I am having a problem with duplex printing. Even when I am printing
a small amount of text it insists on printing the back side of the page
(which of course is blank). Does any one else have this problem? I've
contact Canon, but they haven't responded.

Thanks
Randy

I have an i850 and no problems with duplex printing.

Check your settings in both the program you're using and the printer
driver...it seems another person here had a similar problem, and found
it was just conflicting settings.

Yes. Same problem. XP, P4, and Canon i860. All other duplex
printing works okay. I just cancel print job after the first side
prints.....Sam

Looked into the problem a little further. The earlier problem I reported
re: duplex printing only occurs when printing an email from OE or a web page
from IE 6.0. Have tried differing settings in both programs with no luck.

just curious... If you know the back side of the page you are printing
is going to be blank, why would you select duplex printing?

I print alot of manuals , 400 pages or better, with my 850 and duplex
printing works perfectly each time with the latest drivers.

Gotcha... i just tried duplex with a few lines of text and it did not
call for the reverse side. I do have the latest drivers and seems to
work fine.. I did not upgrade the drivers and this is a fresh install.
