canon i560 printer outputs with a yellow tint?

i just bought a canon i560 and cannot get the pictures to print
correctly. i use the canon photo paper plus glossy and use the easy
print software. im not new to digital printing, and cant figure out
what is happening. when i configure the picture to be printed (select
canon photo paper plus glossy) with canon easy print every picture i
print comes out with a yellow tint to it....if i change the paper
selection to just glossy photo paper, its better but still not good.
if i use windows xp to print my pictures and change the preferences in
the control panel to best on the canon i560 the pictures look good.
is anyone else having these problems with the easy print software that
came with their canon printer? is there any way to use an advanced
print set up to adjust settings with the easy print software..i cant
figure out how....and if not, whats a good photo printing software?

You may try the new download of version 2 from the Canon website dated
9/16/03.

I just bought a canon i960 and had the same problem. Go into your
printer properties and preform a cleaning about 2 times. That will
solve the problem. Guess the printer just sat too long before bought
and used.

Well if your printing in easy photo print and you get a yellow tint, but you
print with windows xp and change printing preferences and the colors are
fine then yeah your problem is occurring from printing in easy photo print.
The thing with easy photo print is that it goes by it's own default settings
and ignores any changes to the driver/preferences. Best way to prove this is
to change the driver settings to printout in greyscale, then try to print in
easy photo print, and you'll see it ignores the greyscale preference change
and prints out in color. That being said, if you have to change the
preferences in order to get good colored pictures easy photo print is the
wrong way to go, however if you don't edit your pictures and don't need to
adjust any driver settings to printout your pictures in correct color then
easy photo print is for you. As far as printing software, the windows xp
printing as you said you printed from before should be fine for just
printing pictures.
