0x80004005

Sending I receive

The Message could not be sent an error has occurred. Dave

This is a repeat of your earlier thread "Cannot Send or Receive".
You did not respond to my post of May 1st in that thread.

Has the account ever worked?

Can you get to web pages?

See the link to check your settings.
http://customer.comcast.com/Pages/F...uring-or-setting-up-Outlook-Express-for-email

(it describes Outlook Express but Windows Mail is the same).

Which antivirus software are you using, and is it configured to scan your
mail?

Are you the same Dave who posted this on the 30th April?

"Since this morning Ihave been unable to send or receive, checked all
settings
against my wifes identical laptop. I have also deleted and re-added. I
receive
-- An unknown error has occurred. Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server:

Dave"

Please keep to your original thread.

Hi Dave, a thread is a group of messages in reply to a question, it helps to
keep all detail of what you tried to do, in response to your question, all
in one place, so that we do not repeat advice that you already tried.

Your original thread is here:
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...20ab&mid=85f7f307-7137-4ea3-8029-4efdb3a820ab

But Gary posted another reply that does not appear for some reason?

He said
"Which of my suggestions did you try?
No response to the question I asked after "If no improvement...?"

I asked you in my original mail "Which antivirus software are you using, and
is it configured to scan your
mail? You have ignored this too.

We are trying to help you.

Very strange! My May 1st post is present in this NNTP newsgroup.
The web interface is even less reliable than I thought.
