Cann't ADD new DC in existing AD

Dear All:
I have existing DC in AD the domain name is domain.local and when I
install secondary DC and join this DC in exisiting AD, that show NO Domain
can be find, But when I join this DC as normal domain computer, that can do
it, anybody can tell me why? Thanks!

make sure DNS is point to the Ip of the existing DC. Then try dcpromo
again.

Xman,

Is the WIN2000 Server that you are trying to dcpromo already a member of the
domain? Is the tcp/ip configuration pointing to your internal DNS Server?

Have you taken a look at the dcpromo log?
