Old DC x New DC

Dear

I have an old domains controller and I need remove from my domain but he has
any problems

Scenario
I realize a backup of her System State (old DC)
I restore this file in other DC configuring equal (domain name and netbios
name, etc...) then
I employ this new DC in my phisical network

Question
My network will keep the configuration?


Old DC it´s Windows 2000 Server - FSMO and GC
New DC it´s Windows 2003 Server

No. For starters the hardware on the old system won't be the same as the
new system plus there are significant schema updates. You want to try and
get another dc in your AD then retire this old server.
