Cannot view email header in Outlook 2007 for returned mail

I've recently had some problems with returned mail (business account) and my
server help department would like to view the email headers so we can resolve
the problem.

Just one catch. I cannot view the headers on the returns that com from the
system administrators. On my normal emails, right-clicking and selecting
Message Options works fine, but with these returned items, the Email Header
field that appears is completely blank.

Also, when I open these emails all the way, there is no "Message tab" to
select. Only a "report" tab so I'm not able to go to the Options section and
click the small box to expand it and view the header, as many Help articles
have told me to do.

has anyone else experienced this? Is there a reason that returned reciepts
from system administrators don't have any header information or can I just
not read it?

Baffled,

This is quite possible in a Microsoft Exchange environment. If the failure
is somewhere internal to your Exchange organization, the folks that run your
system should be able to track the message by using the message id. This
will help them see each hop it takes internally up to the point of failure
(assuming that it the organization Exchange server that delivers the message
to some host on the internet). Are you working in a Microsoft Exchange
environment?
