Cannot use userneame:password@site in URL anymore

Hi,

For an unknown reason, I cannot use
http://<username>:<password>@web.site or
ftp://<username>:<password>@ftp.site anymore.

Windows XP Pro. with IE6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633, 128 bit.
See at the end for more info.

Can you please help me restore this functionality?
