Problem searching on google and other sites

Whenever I search on a site such as google I'm only able to do one
search. If I try searching again with a different topic a blank page
loads with the message "done" in the status bar. I've reinstalled the
google toolbar, but it didn't fix the problem. The same thing happens
on other search sites. Some pictures don't load on various sites
also.

I'm pretty sure that I accidentally deleted something when using
HijackThis.

Other wise you will not know if the person answering here has to necessary
knowledge. Removing items in the registry can render you system inoperative.

p.s. HighjackThis as a new 1.98 version. Get and replace your present .exe
and run an other .log file.

As for you pictures showing as "Red X" try this.
Clear the IE cache. I.E./Tools/Options/General/Delete files (and delete
offline content.) It's often recommended that the Temporary Internet Files
(folder) be kept at
40-50 MB. Bigger isn't necessarily better.
