I have XP Home with all the latest critical upgrades and IE6.
When I try to use any online virus scan (http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ ;
http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/ ;
http://www.ravantivirus.com/scan/indexie.php ) they will not run. One of
them said: "Failed to load ActiveX control!
-- You must have administrative rights on this computer;
you also must have the Internet Explorer security settings to the Medium
level."
Yet, I have my IE6 security setting to prompt me for ActiveX control and
just about anything else suspicious. But I get no prompts to permit anything
and the virus checkers just do not run.
What gives?
Thanks.
