Cannot use Microsoft Word as editor

In the Tools/Options/Mail Format Tab, the"Use Microsoft Word to edit e-mail
messages" box is blank. I cannot turn on.
 
Hi Clarence,
do you use the same Word version as your Outlook?
Coz OL2003 is not compatible with Word2002!
