Cannot use IE

I'm glad that I'm not the only one with this problem.
Whenever I try to use IE I get an error message.
I have tried downloading the updates but it hasn't solved
the problem.
I have also tried looking up the support page in
Microsoft's website but there doesn't seem to be any for
IE errors/bugs.
If anyone has a clue of where I can try next to get IE up
and running again it would be much appreciated. Where
can I go for MS support on this?

Nic,
This is probably being caused by one or more parasite programs.
Download and run run CWShredder from
http://www.zerosrealm.com/downloads/CWShredder.zip
CWShredder is only about 125 KB so it could be downloaded from another
machine onto a floppy disk if necessary.

If CWShredder isn't the cure, try Ad-aware and Spybot S&D:
