Cannot use a .pot I created as design template, what to do?

I created a .pot file in Powerpoint (2003) starting from a .jpg file. Now
when I want to apply this design template each time I do this the background
stays as blank as it can be.

What am I doing wrong here ?

Finaly couldsove I myself by looking in the FAQ's. I did not edited the .pot
file in a View - Master mode
