cannot uninstall IE 6

My IE is corrupted and needs to be reinstalled. When I go
to add/remove programs and hit change/remove I get "can't
find inf file." I tried downloading IE 6 SP 1, but it said
I had a newer version and won't download (stupid MS!). Any
ideas? I'm running XP HE. Thanks.
