Cannot start Windows Defender

Hi,

Recently bought new PC with McAfee protection. Cannot start Windows Defender
- get a message along the lines;

cannot initialise Ox800106ba

Can anybody help?

i had the same problem and i found out it will not run with windows firewall
running. They both seem not to want to run at the same time.
 
This should not be the case. It IS the case that Mcafee and Windows
Defender won't run at the same time. Mcafee disables Windows Defender--this
is intentional.
