I have a Hercules Fortissimo III soundcard (although have
the same problem with a Creative Audidy) but cannot get
any sound at all. The card is physically fine and the
device is shown as working properly. However, on the
submenu I get the message device has been enabled but has
not started. Windows audio is set to start Automatically
on the Services menu, but I cannot find any way to start
an individual driver. Does anyone have any suggestions?
