Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Account: 'pop.att.yahoo.com', Server: 'pop.att.yahoo.com',
Protocol: POP3, Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F
This is the error I am recieving I have checked settings and I am connected
to the internet I have been using this same server for over a year and never
had this problem can enyone help?

I just started receiving the same message. It started immediately after the
system upgraded to SP2.

I have a work around for now. Turn off SSL in the advanced section on the
account properties for the incomming server. The new port setting should
change to 110. I hope someone else can supply use with a better solution, I
don't want to continue to operated without SSL.

at least for now I can receive e-mails

that work around did not work for me but thank you hopefully someone will be
able to help

"Unexpected" termination is usually caused by interference from an
antivirus program. Which antivirus are you running?
As a minimum, email scanning in the antivirus should be turned off,
although that may not be sufficient to eliminate all bad effects.
In a worst case scenario, your antivirus may need to be uninstalled.

Email scanning in any antivirus should be disabled, for reasons
explained here:
http://thundercloud.net/infoave/tutorials/email-scanning/index.htm

If no improvement after disabling email scanning, consider upgrading
to Windows Live Mail, because it is less prone to suffering bad effects
from overly intrusive antivirus programs:
