cannot send email

windows mail no longer supports http servers that use hotmail and other email
servers
 
It does support Gmail, however. Directions to set up a free Gmail POP acct
are at the Gmail site. Ditto for Office's Outlook.
 
So, if you need that capability, use Windows Live Mail.
It supports Hotmail.
