Cannot Send Email

I have developed a problem in Outlook Express. When I try to send email OE
prompts me for my userid and password, but will not accept them. I contacted
my Internet company which is Verizon and they tell me the problem is with OE.
The only disk that came with my computer wants to restore my system to
installation status and erase all my data files and applications. Is there
any way I can reinstall OE without losing my address book and existing
folders?
 
Have you asked the experts in the Oultook Express newsgroups?

Open OE. Go to Tools>Accounts, click on the "Mail tab" then click on the
"Properties button. Then click on the "Servers" tab. Make sure the "Rember
Password" box is checked. Also, make sure that "My server requires
authentication" box is checked. The "Log on requiring secure password" box
is unchecked. Hope this helps.
