When I try to send email I get the following message: "Task
'incoming.verizon.net' reported error. Unable to send message. Please
verify the email address in your account properties. The server responded
550.5.7.1 Authentication required."

Note I can receive emails ok. My email address is entered correctly.

Any ideas ?

What version of Outlook are you using? Have you configured your Internet
mail connector to authenticate the outbound server as well?

Open your Account properties pages (just how is Outlook version-dependent
and you decided that information wasn't important enough to mention) and
click the Outgoing Server tab. Put a check mark in the "My outgoing server
requires authentication" box.
