Cannot Send Email in Outlook 2007

I want to switch from Windows Mail to Outlook 2007 so I can send email
campaigns. Our office uses GoDaddy for email. I used the appropriate
incoming and outgoing server of pop.secureserver.net and
smtpout.secureserver.net which worked fine for Windows Mail. When I try and
send an email I get the error message of: ..rejected your login with secure
password authentication. and ...none of the authentication methods supported
by the client are supported by your server. Is this a problem with going
through GoDaddy or is it faulty set up on my part?

Any advice is very appreciated.

Sounds like you checked the SPA box on the front page of the account setup
screen...does GoDaddy need SPA?

Hi Gordon,

I have checked and unchecked the SPA box and it's a bust either way. When
the box is unchecked I get the error message about the rejected login and the
login box pops up constantly. I don't think that's it. Any othe suggestions?

When successfully using Windows Email it is under POP3. I have disabled the
Windows Email from receiving email when trying to use the Outlook to avoid a
conflict with the programs also. Do you think Outlook is not compatible with
the GoDaddy server?

I'm using GoDaddy for one of my email services and I dont have any problem
with it. My problem is trying to use my RR email address to get out since I
can receive on both servixes without any problem. The only difference between
the accounts settings is on the advanced Tab that I had to change the
Outgoing server (SMTP): number from 25 to 80 and it runs OK. I have contacted
the RR people and after several tests and checks I am very convinced that the
problem is in the software. I have tryied going direct to the cable modem and
thru the router with the same results. As I'm typing this, I'm wonder if the
Outlook some how will let you get out thru one account only. I'll keep
searching untill I solve this problem :(

If Road Runner is NOT your ISP then you either need to set up Authentication
on the RR smtp server in Outlook, or use the smtp server that your ISP
supplies. Using a different smtp server won't affect the email address your
recipients see...
