cannot send email from address book

when I use the address book to send a email it does not go through. I click
on the name & put in the send to and it goes to the email send to when I hit
send it says is sent but the respondent does not receive the email.
Once I type the address into the to box and send a new email, I can send
that person an email from the address book.

Verify that the electronic addresses in your address book view are valid and
resolved. State how your Contacts were created and how your address book
view was configured.
Do not leave out your Outlook version and mail transport.

hooked up to new notebook & transferred electronically

Please be specific. How did you "hook up"? What did you use as a transfer
program? How did you tell the transfer program to use Outlook?

Clearly you have not created valid Contact records. As Brian said, you'll
need to provide some actual information if you want help. Most likely you
need to ask whoever supports your sync software to learn how to sync with
Outlook correctly . This is not an Outlook issue.
