Cannot view tiff files. Get the little
square/circle/cone icon. It appears this problem has
happened after installing SP1 when using 2000. I am
using XP. It appears there may be a problem with SP1 and
this could be the problem. I go to About Internet
Explorer under help and I see SP1 listed in Update
Versions. I do not see SP1 listed in Add and Remove
programs so I cannot get rid of it. That is all I know or
at least think I know.

I get the same problem Kelly, and I have loaded the SP1.
Have you tried a system restore and changinging your
cookie settings? It might work for you but it hasn't for
me. I am currently downloading Netscape 7.1 to see if
that does the same.

IE does not come with a TIFF viewer.

A browser plug-in for viewing TIFF image files

One XP user (who wanted the restore the default associations)
found relief with Run... (e.g. press Win-R and enter:)

regsvr32 /i shimgvw.dll

Please note that the command restores the associations of more
image types than just .tif, so if you have some third-party programs
currently controlling those filetypes you may need to do whatever
it is that they need done to re-register them for themselves.
