IE 6, SP1 has problems downloading some of the TIFF files

1.Similar to KB article:812935 for TIFF, I have noticed IE giving error
messages: " Internet Explorer cannot download xxx.TIF from server. and
Connection to Server reset". Is it a known issue?

This does not occur with all the tiff files and occurs at random.
