Cannot see network cards

B

Bob Lewis

Just installed Win 2000 (several times). Neither
on-install or using "install new hardware" will Win 2000
detect network card. I have tried two different cards (IBM
and an ACER). I have tried installing via the driver disks
but the computer reurns the message that "no network cards
can be detected".

These cards worked fine under Win 98.

Thanks for the support.

If you have W2K compatible drivers for the NIC, try plugging in a utp cable
even if other end is connected to nothing.
