Cannot see free/busy for Outlook 2000 resource

We have just created a conference room resource (with
mailbox) in Outlook 2000. Bookings for that room are
stored in a Public Folder.

However it is very frustrating that the free/busy times
for that resource cannot be seen when creating a New
Meeting request (the timeline has 'No information'-type
hatching).

Is is possible to make the resource's free/busy time
visible?

Please outline the steps you used to set up this resource account. Make sure
to include details on what you mean by "bookings for that room are stored in
a public folder." Also, provide details on how you are scheduling the
resource.
