*** cannot search

when I open the start menu and click on the 'search'
function, my toolbar freezes and the search function will
not open . . .I am not able to access any apps in the
toolbar and have to manually shut down and reboot, can
anyone pleased escribe what is happening and what I can do
to resolve this . . .
Help greatly appreciated . . .
 
Reboot to the BIOS and change your boot order to CD first.
Start your computer with W2K CD in the tray.
When promoted choose "R" for repair.
See if that does any good.

Reset you BIOS after completion to whatever it was to begin with.
