I am in a Windows XP and Word 2002 environment. When I
search for Word documents using the Windows XP Search
function, documents that contain words with nonbreaking
hyphens (CTRL+HYPHEN) are not displayed in the search
results. For example I have a procedure documented that
references component DP-UPS-2A where the two hypyens
are "nonbreaking" to ensure the integrity of the
component. This document does not show in the search
results when I search for "DP-UPS-2A". This search
function in a Windows 98, Word 97 environment did return
the desired documents.
