Cannot save password in Outlook Express

I have three mail accounts in Outlook Express [Win XP] and suddenly the
"save password" feature failed after installing peoplepc software.When
receiving mail a "enter password" window appears with the "Save Password"
line grayed out.If anyone has encountered this problem, please contact me.
