Cannot save or make new pages

I keep getting this - An error occured while accessing your Windows
Sharepoint Service site files, Authors if authoring againest a Web Server
contact webmaster for this servers web site, Webmasters please see the
servers application event log for more info.

What does that mean ?
 
It means you (Author) should ask your host (webmaster for
this servers site) to look at "the servers application
event log".

It also appears you are attempting to use features that
require your site to be hosted on a server that supports
Sharepoint services. You might also want to post this
question to the Sharepoint newsgroup.
