Cannot save changes in FP 2003...

I am at my wits end. I share a website with my friend on Netfirms. Lately we
have been getting an error message about not having SharePoint Services
installed. She can still save her site. With mine, it will save some changes,
but hardly at all. I ALWAYS get the error message. I've tried several things.
I contacted Netfirms to ask if they could do a SharePoint healthcheck, but
they said they do not have SharePoint Services at this time. Why then am I
getting the SharePoint error?
I do not use FTP, only strictly update through FP. Help please! I really
need to update my site!
Thanks for any help!! Much appreciated!

Hi, yes I am - and always have without any problems before now. I have
Webroot SpySweeper, and am running Norton Internet Security 2006.

Norton Internet Security has been known to cause these kind of problems.
Some people have luck when they disable it. Some don't have any luck until
they completely uninstall it.

I think I tried disabling before.....just did it now & it still didn't work.
This is what happened - I tried saving a page that everything looks perfect
on - except it won't save my one photo. Every time I open my site thru FP,
the photo shows as if it is there, but when you pull it up on the web, it is
not there. I tried doing a test page, just typed a few random letters &
slapped the photo in. Saved it as a test page. The error message pops up at
me:

"The server sent a response which FrontPage could not parse. If you are
trying to connect to a Windows SharePoint Services server, check with the
server's administrator to make sure the Windows SharePoint Services is
installed properly."

I closed FP, and of course it asks 'do you want to save...before closing...'
I say no. So, I pull up my test page on the web - it comes up, except the
photo does not load, but the random text is there.
Any ideas?

If any MS folks are around, I thank you for changing Vista to keep Norton
and McAfee out of the system code!
