Hello,
I am helping a friend with a Win 2000 Pro PC. He
mentioned that he had received a virus message from
Norton's regarding backdoor.agent.b infection. Norton's
was unable to remove, repair or quarentine the virus. He
brought it over to me and I started trying to research
it. I saw there is a removal tool, but when I tried to
run it on the PC, I got a Error message. "Cannot find the
fileA:\..\fixb.exe (or one of it's components). Make
sure the path and filename are coorect and that all
required libraries are available."
I got the same message when trying to run all programs.
I also tried to run through the Start\Run method and even
running through the task window... same message. It's
the same for all users (and Administrators) and also in
Safe Mode.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. DJ
