Hi Leon,
Try renaming regedit.exe to regedit.scr
Open regedit.scr and then navigate thru the registry in order to make the
appropriate changes (assuming that you know how to navigate the registry, the
key that needs to be edited, etc.)
If you downloaded a file association fix for .exe files and/or .reg files
(such as the ones available at Doug Knox's site) and that is what you are
trying to run when you receive the GDC.exe error, then try this, after
renaming regedit.exe to regedit.scr:
Right-click on the reg file that you want to run and select Open with.
Uncheck the "Always use the selected program....." checkbox if there is a
checkmark there, then click on the Browse button. Change the Files of type
field to All Files and navigate to C:\Windows\regedit.scr then click on OK.
When asked Are you sure you want to add the information....", click on Yes.
Click on OK.
Regards,
