Cannot run any exe form within explorer

Any help on this would be much apprciated.
Windows 2000 machine with all updates current. Ran House call camw up with
no issues. Ran Spybot and ssystem is now clean. Running AVG will post
results.

System will not allo a right click on any file within explorer or allow you
to double click and launch a exe.

Found some hits on a google search about a exe registry folder enty with no
resolution

Please help!!

I'm sorry I should of mentioned that I already tried this with no success. I
can try again if need be.
