Cannot roll up to recommended monitor resolution under Vista

I do use a dual-boot PC : Win XP 32 bit and Vista x64 and replaced my old CRT
monitor today with a flat widescreen. I use dual-monitor too.

I installed the drivers on both OS. Under XP, there's no problem : I can
set to the recommended resolution of 1680 x 1050.

However, under Vista x64, I cannot reach that resolution : it stops at 1600
x 1200 ! If I go to the device manager, or through Display settings, I can
see the Viewsonic model I have (VX 2255wmb)

Here's my equipment :

Core 2 duo 1.86 Ghz
nVidia 7300 GT video adapter
The Viewsonic is connected through DVI connector
An ACER is connected on the VGA connector

The video adapter is said to be able to go much higher than this recommended
resolution...

What can I be doing wrong under Vista that work perfectly on exactely the
same hardware (same PC) ?

Thanks,
Rob

Curious

What driver release from the NVIDIA Website did you install?
I have no trouble using the same monitor using Vista32.

It's a driver that is about one year old (I think it is 93.71, september 2006
old) - I am not at home now, but this has been another issue : I am unable to
change the drivers for the newest on nVidia website! I keep getting a stuopid
message that I cannot use a 32 bit uninstaller with a 64bit application (or
something like that) - funny, as this happen (if I remember correctly)
*after* I remove the older driver and I start the install program for the
latest drivers !... It did that with the very latest, and it did that with
the one released just before. So I had to come back to the 90 release, my
only choice ! Never been able to get an answer from nVidia on that. Are you
also using Forceware drivers ?
