Cannot Restore to any Restore Points

I ran a complete system restore using Acronis True Image 11 several days ago.
Have created several restore points since then but none of them work when I
try WinXP System restore. Have turned off AV Software without any effect.

I had already looked at this and it was not any help. I am able to restore
to an earlier restore point if I boot up in safe mode but this is time
consuming. Very concerned with the instability of the Restore Software

Turning off (restart, turn back on) system restore deletes the current
points, but it may start system restore working for future points.

Already tried that as well. Turned off, rebooted, turned back on, rebooted,
created new RP's. Only safe mode seems to work - wondering what on the
system is causing this issue.

I think you are right that something is running on your system that is
preventing restore. One common problem for this kind of thing lately is a
lack of correct Permissions in the registry. if your security setup is not
too complex, I would take it back to default to see if that gets it going.
