Cannot reply or forward messages

I can receive messages. I can create and send new messages. I cannot reply
to or forward messages. I receive the following error code - "Your server
has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes
for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Subject 'Fw: NOT Catholic', Account:
'pop-server.rochester.rr.com', Server: 'smtp-server.rochester.rr.com',
Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F". I
have completely uninstalled antivirus/firewall software, but still receive
same error code. I created a new email account - same result. Any advice
would be greatly appreciated.

What antivirus program did you uninstall? Some of them often need
separate cleanup programs afterwards.

Does your connection to that server cross from one internet provider's
equipment to another's? If so, such connections to port 25 are often
blocked to cause trouble for spammers. However, such a block
usually affects new messages you create as well.

You might want to check here for Roadrunner's instructions:

I uninstalled Norton Internet Security Suite. To do so, I downloaded an
uninstaller directly from Symantec. I also discussed with tech support with
Time Warner, and they directed me to Microsoft. As far as I know, there are
not multipke ISP's. Thanks for the link to Road Runner Medic, I will give
that a shot. I'll take any other suggestions you might have, and thank you
for the time.
