I have windows 2K SP4 NTFS, I cannot rename Default User
Profile, does anyone know how I can do this. I keep
getting "Cannot rename default user: Access is denied" I
am logged in as administrator, and per a document I have
also added the Creator Owner group w/ delte priveledges
but this still does not work. All help is greatly
appreciated. TIA Robert

Have you tried taking ownership first ? I know it sounds
funky, you are admin and if the folder is not in use, you
should be able to rename it. In odd situations like this,
taking ownership has worked for me in the past. Cant
explain it but it may work.

FYI, I was able to rename Default User on both my XP
and Win2K system no problem.
