Cannot remove/rename an exe

Hey,
I have an exe here ready for unpacking but it has the
wrong extension on the end.
I need to change the extension but I can't rename the
file, its keeps giving me the "is being used by another
peerson or program" message, which is slightly strange
since there is only one user on the machine, I disconnect
from the net and close all other programs.
If anyone has any ideas at all on this subject I
would be very grateful.

Go to your task manager and click on the "Processes"
tab. Look through the processes and see if you see
anything pertaining to the file you're trying to rename.
If you find something, highlight it and click "end
process."
